Floristry is an art rooted in the ephemeral.

Our ethos is to honor the changing seasons and dance through the flowers in synchronicity. We live in a community that is abundant and inspiring in its beauty and our job is to support, educate and encourage the use of these resources.  Using seasonal blooms, supporting sustainable farming practices and being a steward to the land is the core value of Willi Wildflower.

The landscape of California and Julie have an infinite love affair. Raised on the rugged coast Julie quickly found California to be her muse.  With a degree in Fine Arts she spent her college years chasing the seasons from the north to south, inspired by the wild and abundant diversity that seems to infinitely offer itself up drawing inspiration and awe.

THE planted Seed

Her Gramma Willi, the company namesake, was a master gardener and instilled an affinity for flowers in Julie at a young age. They would spend the seasons together collecting flowers and making bouquets to fill the house with. Bringing the outdoors into the home became a necessity.

To capture a fleeting bit of time and color and articulating this through floristry quickly grew into an obsession. Julie found her way to working on farms and landscaping, tending the land and creating gardens where she learned the seasons for different flowers and could experiment with color groupings. Because of her background, Julie is committed to using seasonal locally sourced blooms weaving in foraged bits of California wild. She strives to highlight the abundant and wild landscape into every one of her arrangements.
